Twin 90 % blue-and-red windows with <1 % green—BH-A15 paints pure magenta while dumping heat and glare.
BH-A15 is KUPO’s bi-chromatic “magenta maker.” A dense ion-beam-sputtered
dielectric lifts transmission past 90 % from 405 to 465 nm, plummets below 1 % through the
green-yellow band, then surges above 90 % again from 610 to 750 nm. The dark trough erases
green spill, so the resulting blue-plus-red mix reads as a vivid magenta—perfect for theatrical
washes, dual-channel fluorescence, multispectral cameras or gamut-boosted mini-LED backlights.
Coatings meet MIL scratch, adhesion and humidity specs, and KUPO can tweak edge positions, flatten
the near-IR tail, or supply 0°-AOI versions in as little as two weeks—cut from 10 mm chips up to
300 mm plates to keep your project moving.
BH-A15 is KUPO Optics’ bi-chromatic workhorse that lets vivid royal-blue and deep-red light sail through while ruthlessly shutting out the middle of the spectrum. A hard-oxide dielectric stack rockets past 90 % transmission around 405 nm, holds a >90 % plateau through ~465 nm, then drops below 1 % by ~500 nm. After a dark trough across the green-yellow band, the curve rebounds above 90 % near 610 nm and stays flat to ~750 nm before tapering. The result is a clean two-colour window—perfect for magenta illumination, dual-channel fluorescence, or colour-balanced special effects—with green spill and IR heat held at bay.
Key advantages
High-clarity twin passbands — ≥90 % peak T from roughly 405–465 nm and 610–750 nm keeps blue and red channels bright and colour-true.
Deep mid-band blocking — <1 % T across 500–560 nm eliminates green/yellow flare and maximises contrast.
Magenta colour rendering — Blue + red transmission mixes into a saturated magenta ideal for theatrical lighting and display backlights.
Hard-oxide durability — Ion-assisted layers stand up to heat, humidity, solvents, and repeated cleaning on production floors.
Rapid custom options — Fine-tune passband edges, suppress the near-IR tail, or order 0 ° AOI versions in lead times as short as two weeks.
Typical applications
Stage & architectural lighting — Produce vibrant magenta washes or two-colour effects without extra gel stacks.
Fluorescence imaging — Simultaneously pass blue excitation and far-red emission while blocking green autofluorescence.
Multispectral/hyperspectral cameras — Isolate blue and red channels for vegetation analysis, skin diagnostics, or colour-matching.
Display backlights — Combine with phosphor or quantum-dot films to boost gamut in mini-LED panels.
Optical test benches — Split sensors into blue/red detection paths while dumping green noise and IR heat.
