45 ° dielectric mirror: ≥ 95 % R from 410 – 715 nm with built-in UV/IR roll-off—flat-colour reflection, lower heat, zero ghosting.
BH-A08 is KUPO’s broadband dielectric mirror tuned for a 45 ° hit. From
violet right through deep red (410 – 715 nm) it reflects better than 95 % with a
colour-neutral profile, then rolls off toward the near-IR (~75 % at 745 nm, ~30 %
by 800 nm) and drops below 40 % in the deep UV. The built-in slopes dump stray UV
and IR heat, simplifying optical trains that would otherwise need extra filters.
Ion-beam-sputtered oxides deliver pinhole-free hardness, zero delamination after
thermal cycling, and batch-to-batch spectral repeatability within ± 2 nm. We cut
Borofloat®, Corning Eagle XG, Schott D 263 T, and soda-lime up to 450 mm
diameter (or 650 mm diagonal rectangles) in 0.21 – 3.8 mm thickness, with custom
wedges, AR backs, or edge shifts available. Standard parts ship in 3 – 5 days; fully
custom mirrors leave in as little as two weeks for OEM volumes.
Typical uses: folding prisms in LCD/DLP projectors, white-light steering in
machine-vision gantries, broadband combiner prisms for HUD/AR, reference channels in
spectrometers, and colour-true stage or architectural mirror effects where visible
fidelity matters but UV/IR must be suppressed.
BH-A08 is a broad-band dielectric mirror engineered for 45 ° incidence. From roughly 410 – 715 nm the coating delivers ≥ 95 % reflectance, providing a flat, neutral response across the entire visible spectrum. Reflectance then rolls off toward the near-IR (≈ 75 % at 745 nm, ≈ 30 % by 800 nm) and the deep-UV (< 40 % below ~350 nm), so stray heat and out-of-band UV are naturally suppressed. The all-oxide stack is deposited by ion-beam sputtering (IBS) onto precision-cut glass substrates, guaranteeing hard-coated durability and batch-to-batch spectral repeatability within ± 2 nm.
Key advantages
High, uniform R in the eye-sensitive band – ≥ 95 % from 410 – 715 nm keeps colour balance intact in imaging and display paths.
Integrated UV/IR roll-off – built-in spectral slopes outside the working band reduce detector flare and thermal load without extra filters.
45 ° design tolerance – spectral shift < 5 nm for AOI 40 – 50 °, supporting off-axis prisms and fold mirrors.
IBS ruggedness – passes MIL-M-13508C abrasion, adhesion, humidity and salt-fog; no pinholes or delamination after thermal cycling.
Versatile substrate options – we custom-cut glass from 5 mm to 450 mm (thickness 0.21 – 3.8 mm), offering Borofloat®, Corning Eagle XG and ultra-thin Schott D263 T for service temperatures up to 450 °C, plus cost-effective soda-lime for applications below 150 °C.
Typical applications
DLP® and LCD projectors – fold high-lumen RGB paths while dumping IR that degrades phosphors or polarising films.
Machine-vision beam steering – route white-light illuminators onto targets when space or mass preclude normal-incidence optics.
Heads-up / near-eye displays – build compact combiner prisms that preserve full-colour brightness with minimal ghosting.
Scientific instruments – create broadband reference channels in spectrometers or fluorescence rigs without chromatic skew.
Architectural & stage lighting – integrate into mirror balls, moving heads or kaleidoscopic effects where colour fidelity matters.
Standard pieces ship in 3–5 days; fully custom shapes, AR-back coatings or wedged blanks can leave in as little as 2 weeks for OEM volumes.
